$Peek Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you ("you", the person who installs or uses $Peek) and Atonce FZE, a free zone establishment trading as Ai4Life, licensed under business licence 4100727.01 issued by Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone Authority, Government of Sharjah, with its registered address at Business Centre, Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates ("Ai4Life", "we", "us"). $Peek is a product of Ai4Life.

By ticking "I agree" during setup, or by using $Peek, you accept these Terms, the Not Financial Advice disclaimer and the Data Handling Statement, which form part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use $Peek.

1. What $Peek is

$Peek is personal finance software that runs on your own computer. It organises figures you give it (bank statements, your TranSMS sheet, balances, loans, holdings and commitments) into reports such as cash flow, budgets, debt schedules, net worth and investment performance. $Peek is a record-keeping and information tool. It is not a bank, a payment service, a broker, an accountant or a financial adviser.

2. Your licence

2.1 Subject to these Terms and to payment of the applicable fee, Ai4Life grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to install and use $Peek on one computer, identified by the Machine ID shown in the app, for your own personal or household finances.

2.2 Your licence key is tied to that one computer. A key cannot be used on a second computer at the same time. If you replace or reset your computer, contact Ai4Life with the new Machine ID; reasonable transfers are handled at Ai4Life's discretion.

2.3 $Peek is sold as a one-time Lifetime licence. "Lifetime" means for as long as $Peek version 1 (including all 1.x updates) remains usable on your computer; it does not mean the lifetime of any person or company. Your data stays on your computer in all cases.

2.4 Refund window key. To make the refund in section 7 possible with an offline licence, your first key is valid for eight (8) days. If you have not asked for a refund by the end of day seven (7), Ai4Life sends your permanent Lifetime key. Until then, $Peek works fully.

2.5 A free demo mode with made-up data may be used without a key for evaluation only.

3. What you may not do

You may not, and may not allow anyone else to:

• copy $Peek, except for one backup copy of the installation files;
• share, publish, resell, rent or lend $Peek or your licence key;
• use one licence key on more than one computer, or try to bypass, alter or disable the licence check;
• reverse engineer, decompile or modify $Peek, except to the extent the law of the UAE expressly permits it despite this restriction;
• remove or alter any Ai4Life or $Peek name, logo, copyright or legal notice;
• use $Peek to provide financial, bookkeeping or advisory services to others for payment;
• use $Peek for any unlawful purpose.

4. Not financial advice

$Peek does not give financial, investment, tax, legal or accounting advice and does not recommend any product, security or transaction. Please read the Not Financial Advice disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms. You alone are responsible for your financial decisions.

5. Your data and your responsibilities

5.1 Your ledger is stored on your computer. Ai4Life does not host, receive or have access to it, as described in the Data Handling Statement.

5.2 You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the data you enter or import, for keeping your computer, Windows account, $Peek PIN and backups secure, and for making regular backups. Ai4Life cannot recover a lost, deleted or damaged ledger.

5.3 You must have the right to use any data you import, including statements and sheets of other people.

6. Third-party services

6.1 Some features rely on services operated by others, including Google (Google Sheets, for TranSMS), Telegram (for TranSMS), Yahoo Finance (through the open-source yfinance library) and CoinGecko (for prices). Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, may change or stop at any time, and are not controlled by Ai4Life.

6.2 TranSMS is a separate Ai4Life service with its own subscription and terms. $Peek works without it: you can import bank statements instead.

6.3 Market prices shown by $Peek may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Always check important figures with the original source.

7. Fees, renewals and refunds

7.1 The Lifetime licence fee is a single payment, as stated on your order or invoice from Ai4Life. Prices are in UAE dirhams unless stated otherwise and include VAT where applicable.

7.2 You may ask for a full refund for any reason within 7 days of purchase using the refund form linked in your welcome email (https://n8n.srv1366785.hstgr.cloud/form/peek-refund) or by writing to support@ai4life.ae. Your refund-window key then expires and you must stop using $Peek. After 7 days the fee is non-refundable, except where UAE consumer protection law requires a refund.

7.3 TranSMS is a separate subscription with its own terms; this licence fee does not include it.

8. Updates and support

8.1 Updates within version 1 (fixes and improvements numbered 1.x) are included in your Lifetime licence at no extra cost. Ai4Life announces them by email and on its website.

8.2 A future major version (for example version 2) is a new product. Existing customers may upgrade at a reduced price by applying through the form Ai4Life provides; you are never obliged to upgrade, and version 1 keeps working.

8.3 Support is provided by email or Instagram message on a reasonable-efforts basis during UAE business days. Ai4Life does not promise that $Peek will be free of errors or work without interruption.

9. Ownership

$Peek, its code, design, the $Peek name and eye logo, and all documentation are owned by Ai4Life or its licensors and are protected by UAE and international intellectual property laws. You receive a licence to use $Peek, not ownership of it. Your own financial data remains yours.

10. No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law, $Peek is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Calculations depend on the data you provide and on assumptions explained in the app's Glossary.

11. Limitation of liability

11.1 To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law, Ai4Life is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, savings, investments, data or opportunity, or for any financial decision you make or do not make, arising from the use of or inability to use $Peek, even if advised of the possibility of such loss.

11.2 Ai4Life's total liability to you for all claims relating to $Peek is limited to the fees you paid for $Peek in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.

11.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UAE law, including liability for fraud or gross negligence.

12. Indemnity

You agree to compensate Ai4Life for reasonable losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, including sharing or misusing a licence key.

13. Suspension and termination

13.1 You may stop using $Peek at any time.

13.2 Ai4Life may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these Terms (for example, by sharing your key) and do not fix the breach within seven (7) days of notice, where it can be fixed.

13.3 When your licence ends, you must stop using $Peek, except that you may keep and export your own data and backups.

14. Changes to these Terms

Ai4Life may update these Terms. The version and effective date are shown at the top. If a change materially affects you, $Peek will ask you to accept the new version before you continue. Changes do not apply to a period you have already paid for unless you accept them.

15. Governing law and courts

These Terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and, where applicable, the laws of the Emirate of Sharjah. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or $Peek is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent onshore federal courts of the Emirate of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Before going to court, both parties will first try in good faith to resolve the dispute by contacting each other for at least thirty (30) days.

16. General

If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest remains in force. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms; Ai4Life may transfer them to an affiliate or successor. These Terms are the entire agreement about $Peek between you and Ai4Life. If these Terms are translated, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by law.
